Stoney Nakoda Event Centre

The perfect location for weddings, tradeshows, conferences or concerts.  This state-of-the-art venue can meet all your sound, lighting, video and staging needs.  

Sound

The main sound system is the Halo C product line of EM Acoustics from the UK.  It consists of 2 arrays containing 6 mid-high cabinets with one flown and one floor 18 inch, Subwoofer  either side of the stage providing even sound from the front to the back of the room.  The innovative design of high frequency ribbon driver provides unparallelled definition and clairity.  The Line Array has 4 ½ m (15ft) of travel front to back which will accommodate any depth of stage up to 6m (20ft).  Four EMS156,  2way 15” speakers make up the front and side fills.  Power behind the speakers comes from three Linear Research M44, 4 channel series amplifiers providing a total power of 15 000 Watts bringing the acoustic power up to 105db at front of house, A weighting using Pink Noise.  Augmenting additional subwoofers can bring the limit up to 115db.

There are eight discreet channels of floor mixes available with eight ElectroVoice MFX-12MC coaxial 12inch floor monitors powered by QSC RMX 2450 Amplifiers.  Floor monitors are mixed on an Avid Venue series Profile 48 Channel Console driving the PA over AES digital drive lines.

Lighting

The Upstage truss line contains 16 Chauvet Color-Dash ParQuad 18, LED fixtures and eight Chauvet Intimidator Spot 375Z  fixtures  evenly spaced on the 9.7m (32ft) truss line.  The the 9.7m (32ft) FOH truss line contains 8 Chauvet Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 instruments and three Chauvet Ovation P-56 instruments with wide or narrow lenses.  Atmospherics is provided by a Chauvet Hurricane Hazer. The Lighting console is a three universe Grand MA3 Command Wing on PC with two touch screens.

Video

Image projection is accomplished by two Christie D16 projectors with an output of 15 000 lumens each and can be fed by HDMI or HDSDI signal sources up to a 4K image resolution.  Projection Screens consist of two 4.2m (14ft) motorized projection screens flanking either side of the line array sound system, two permanent 5m (16ft) screens on the Upstage wall behind the main curtain left & right of center stage, and one 6.7m (22ft) matt surface which is flown from the upstage fly pipe.  In the single matt configuration, both christie projectors are stacked image providing a 30 000 lumen theatre brightness image.

Staging

Primary staging consists of sixteen, 1.2m X 2.3m (4ft X 8ft) stage decks at a height of 1m (40inch) in any customizable configuration. The permanent upstage riser level is incorporated as part of the 1/2m (21inch) Drum Riser.

Ideal for a medium sized group function. Room can be doubled in size (capacity) with the air-wall removal which connects it to the Chiniki Room.  Located at the end of the resort lobby area, this room has easy access for guests.
