*COVID-19 UPDATE*

UPDATED MARCH 28, 2020

March 28, 2020:  Following the directive of the provincial government and Alberta Health Services on March 17, 2020 concerning the current provincial state of emergency resulting from the pandemic COVID-19, all casino operations in the province have been closed indefinitely. In addition, on March 27, the province announced all dine-in services are prohibited.

As a precautionary measure in line with prevention efforts taking place across Canada and around the world, Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino unfortunately needs to announce the temporary closure of the resort to the public effective Sunday, March 29, 2020.  Stoney Tribal Administration Emergency Management Team will continue to operate at the resort, but no public access is permitted.

We are committed to the health and safety of our guests, employees and community.

The remaining employees are following the advice of the Provincial and Federal Governments, along with Alberta Health Services to ensure a safe workplace. Our staff will be reaching out to those guests who are affected by this closure.  If you are calling the resort, phone calls may not be answered at this time, but if you should require additional information please email us at [email protected].

We hope you and your family stay healthy and we look forward to welcoming you back to Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino, Kananaskis Country, and the Canadian Rockies once we can re-open our doors.

Our highest responsibility is to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees. We will continue to work with the Alberta Government, Alberta Health Services, and AGLC to relay the most accurate and timely information.

Following the directive from the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services on March 17, 2020 concerning the current provincial state of emergency resulting from the pandemic COVID-19, all casino operations in the province have been closed indefinitely.

The hotel and Ridge restaurant will remain open at this time.  The Ridge restaurant will be open from 7am-2pm, and 4:30pm-9pm daily.  Take out orders are available.

We have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures and protocols throughout the property, including:

  • Placing hand sanitizer dispensing stations in high-traffic, visible areas such as entrances/exits, lobby area, as well as other public and back-of-house locations.
  • Increasing the frequency of disinfectant procedures as recommended by Alberta Health Services
  • Public touch points, such as handrails, elevator buttons, door handles and knobs are cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
  • Surfaces such as front desk, restaurant counters and dining room tables are wiped regularly.

As a precaution, all buffets (including the daily breakfast buffet) are suspended.  A plated breakfast will be provided for those registered hotel guests in replacement of the daily hot breakfast buffet.
