Position Summary: 

The Surveillance Operator is responsible for monitoring an assigned area within the facility and ensuring that all related equipment is in good working order.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • ·Monitors gaming activity for an assigned area
  • ·Identifies potential gaming issues, suspicious individuals and activities
  • ·Prepares and maintains detailed log books
  • ·Adheres to all house policies and procedures and AGLC terms and Conditions
  • ·Liaises closely with the Casino Manager
  • ·Provides legal evidence in criminal situations
  • ·Ensures live surveillance is in place and that digital recordings are available
  • ·Manages other initiatives or duties as required

 

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • ·Grade 12 education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • ·Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • ·Computer literacy in MS Office
  • ·Minimum one year of experience in casino surveillance on Table Games
  • ·First Nations experience an asset
  • ·Criminal Record Clearance mandatory
  • ·Experience using CCTV equipment an asset

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular surveillance room environment, non-traditional work hours, sitting for long periods of time

Licensing or Certification Requirements

For positions that require special certification; the appropriate level of certification will be maintained. Meets requirements to be register with AGLC and maintain a valid AGLC License
